What if your holidays made you feel more at peace, able to relax, reflect and rejuvenate?

WINTERING RETREAT

Experience the beauty and tranquility of winter, in the presence of snowcapped mountains and candlelight.

Winter is the darker, colder and more introspective time of the year, inviting us to slow down to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate. When we allow ourselves to recharge in the winter months, we prepare ourselves for the seasons and cycles that lie before us.

Learn about the cycles of life, and how living in harmony with them benefits us.

Within the stress and pace of modern worklife, many realize they can’t stay on the path they’re on now. Yet, they don’t know what’s next.

Nowadays, many people live stressful lives in crowded environments, detached from nature, and spend far too much time on things that ultimately don’t bring them real joy. Sounds familiar?

Minds & Mountains provides a supportive environment to bring your mind and body in balance with nature. We help you reconnect to your senses and grow new creative capacities to regenerate life on earth.

For much of human history, wintering was a habit of slowing down, of resting, and of preparing for the cycles ahead. It’s when we look back at the year that has passed, feel into where we are in our lives, and share cozy moments and stories around the fire with those dear to us.

As a time of endings, of a cycle closing, winter holds gifts for our lives. How is nature preparing for new beginnings? What is waiting in the depths and darkness to come out? How can we learn to welcome in with coziness and gentleness?

Our Wintering Retreat invites you into a different relationship to winter - rather than escaping or rejecting winter, we invite you to allow yourself some magic, both in the stunning landscapes of the mountains and your inner landscape.

ABOUT MINDS & MOUNTAINS

We are guides and facilitators for regenerative living and leadership, bringing nature, business, and the simple joys of life back together.

Founded and run by an Austrian-Danish family that left their business life in Copenhagen behind, to start a new, more regenerative and joyful lifestyle and create a unique space for inspiration, motivation, and transformation, for people and businesses committed to change.

Minds and Mountains hosts, Mikkel and Doro, know first-hand what it means to live through “high performing” and stressful careers with too little meaning and purpose.

“We were tired of pointless meetings, always chasing the next thing, and ultimately finding little joy. We decided to take another path: a new direction with more simplicity, joyfulness, and purpose. And we needed – and took - space for that. That’s why, with this experience and the wisdom gained on our path, we’re offering that space to our guests today. A physical place and a space of transformational support.”

Inspired by the Danish life philosophy of “Hygge” and local pagan traditions, they explored how to bring greater meaning to the everyday. Healthy, delicious food, a space concept for a cozy life, and experiences that matter: stories at sunset around the fire. The forest bathed in mysterious moonlight. Understanding what is really important in life.
